The Beauty of Alignment: A New Standard for Aesthetics | Form + Frequency Ep. 01
In this episode, we share the story behind this show, our energetic intentions, and what it means to live, create and express from your soul’s frequency.
A Quick Note
We intend to use this space (and Substack) to share not just the episodes in full, but a deeper reflection of what each one meant to us.
Every episode ends with a reflection prompt. Today’s is:
Where in your life are you prioritizing form over frequency – and where could you let truth lead instead?
We’ll share our answers first, then pull in the YouTube + Spotify links and a modified transcript below.
Alexandra’s Reflections
I catch myself undoing my hair from its tie — an unconscious ritual. The loosening of something tight. The unraveling of something held. Just as I seek to unbind myself from the illusion of “put together,” the neatness gives way to something more wild. More honest. More me. It’s not just my hair that’s loosening. It’s the perfectionism, too. The curated edges. The desire to be digestible.
Ever since I claimed my purpose — to design spaces that elicit safety, warmth, and inspiration — I’ve been tracing the throughline of what that actually means. Not just aesthetics. Not even just function. But feeling. When a space makes someone breathe differently, something shifts. They drop in. They become more themselves. And in that becoming, there is healing.
My hope is that when someone lives inside a space I’ve designed — a space attuned to their soul’s resonance — they grow more accustomed to their own full expression. No need to tidy up before the world sees them. No need for the metaphorical ponytail. Just the raw, unfiltered beauty of being. And maybe, over time, they become brave enough to carry that same energy into the streets. To live that way out loud.
I hold a vision, viscerally, of a world where every environment is created with intention. Not merely for commerce, but for connection. Where commerce comes after care. Where the bottom line becomes:
Not “what did we get from them?” but “what did we leave them with?”
This shift requires practice. Over and over. Because we were raised in extraction culture. Trained to measure value by what we take — from each other, from the earth, from our own bodies. But what if we reversed this, what if the revolution is in what we give?
So I ask:
When you create your next post, your next space, your next offer — is it optimized for the algorithm? Or is it the outpouring of your soul?
If we are what we consume, and what we long for is a more harmonic, sacred, and sovereign world — then what could be more rebellious, more radical, than giving others something nutrient-rich? Something textured with truth? Something that leaves them more themselves?
Robyn’s Reflections
I got caught up in leaning more heavily into form than frequency again this week.
As a brand + marketing strategist, my brain goes very quickly from the drop of an idea to full strategic map. Sometimes being a visionary in this way feels like a blessing and a curse – I see the highest potential, the biggest possible outcome… but when I go to take action, I freeze.
I am in a season of rebuilding my business after burning it all down.
The core offers were the easy part (they nearly wrote themselves). But where I’m struggling is rebuilding my social media presence, as well as shifting my personal brand. What I stand for now is what I’ve always stood for – aligning soul, strategy, style; building Soulbrands™ – but the business structure has shifted. And more than that… my identity has shifted.
I’m not the same woman I was when I set out on this entrepreneurial journey. I’ve gone through the fire, almost letting it take me out, but instead surrendering into the transformation it offers. I feel stronger, bolder, more embodied in my message. More confident in the value I provide – not from what I can “do” for others, but from the energy I bring into a room.
But alas, when setting out to rebuild my social media channels this week, I went into planning-perfectionist mode again.
I got overwhelmed with all of the content and original ideas collecting digital dust in my folders and apps, thinking of how many platforms they should/could live on. I took my writing pieces and ran them through AI to break them into more digestible pieces for short-form consumption. I spent hours on Canva designing carousel templates for Instagram.
Important caveat, though: I’m not making myself wrong for any of this. In fact, I think most of this work is good and important and (dare I say) necessary.*
*I am about to publish a piece for my personal Substack, The Light House, about my take on IG – I have mixed feelings about this platform and don’t want to go down that rabbit hole here… yet.
So while these activities are, in and of themselves, entrepreneurial needle-movers, what was missing was the frequency. The soul spark initiated this project, but the brain and doing took over. This is my default operating system I am trying to uninstall: I always say soul first, then strategy – but often I make that leap a little too soon.
So today, I am going to sip my coffee and pull out a notebook and reimagine this project, staying in the soul + frequency space a little longer than normal. I’m going to finally reread the pieces I’ve written, in full. I’m going to bask in my own creative glow.
And then get back to the final step of bringing it to life tangibly.
Soul, then strategy. In equal measure.
Consciously, intentionally, willingly.
Episode Summary
What happens when two women with shared values, complementary energies, and a whole lot of love for beauty, soul, and storytelling decide to go live?
You get Form + Frequency – a living, breathing editorial show exploring what it means to build a life, brand, and space that feels like you.
This first episode was raw. Real. Slightly chaotic in the best way. But it was exactly what it needed to be.
And in that spirit, we opened the portal.
Our Intention
We lit a candle. We set an intention. We talked about truth – not just as a value, but as a frequency.
Form + Frequency was never meant to be another polished production. It’s meant to be a space for honest resonance. For showing up as we are, not as who we think we’re supposed to be. And for practicing full self-expression – not just in what we create, but in how we live.
The Real Why
This show wasn’t born from a strategy doc or a launch plan.
It came from a soul spark. A yearning.
A yearning for creative connection. For conversation that holds nuance and softness. For a space where branding, interiors, beauty, and identity can coexist with spirituality, texture, and truth.
We wanted to move from the blueprint to the living room – to stop planning the thing and live it.
What “Form” and “Frequency” Actually Mean
Form is the structure. The visible. The tangible. The aesthetic.
Frequency is the energy. The unseen. The emotion underneath the expression.
Together, they shape our worlds. And when in harmony, they create something that’s not only beautiful, but deeply aligned.
Our Dynamic
We talked about how our energies play together – how one of us brings the signal and the other brings the spark. How we mirror and magnetize different aspects of the same vision.
And how beauty, when it’s rooted in devotion (not perfectionism), becomes a spiritual practice of its own.
What We’re Letting Go
We’re releasing the need for polish. For being “on.” For pleasing the algorithm gods.
We’re making space for truth, even when it’s imperfect. For style that’s sacred. For aesthetics that feel like home.
We’re reclaiming beauty as something intuitive, not performative.
Where This Is Going
We’re not here to give design tips or trend predictions. We’re here to have a deeper conversation about resonance, rhythm, proportion, and presence.
In each episode, we’ll explore one soul-coded design principle – not just in theory, but in practice.
Think: Proportion. Rhythm. Contrast. Whitespace. Texture. Line. Symmetry & Asymmetry. Color Harmony. Flow. Depth. Light. Integrity.
We’ll also be weaving in “Design Therapy” – a segment where we respond to real branding, style, or creative questions from our community. (You can submit yours here.)

Reflection Prompt
Where in your life are you prioritizing form over frequency – and where could you let truth lead instead?
Let that question sit in your body this week.
We’ll see you again on Thursday, June 26 for Episode 03: Proportion – The Art of Enough.
Until then –
Let it be true. Let it be beautiful. Let it be you.
